— The work

What the role is responsible for.

  • Build and run power-system models for contingency and resilience analysis.
  • Process operational and meteorological data into study-grade inputs.
  • Produce clear written analysis for engineering and client audiences.
  • Support scenario development for extreme-heat and high-demand conditions.
  • Maintain the model library and its documentation so results stay reproducible.

What we need you to bring.

  • Degree in electrical engineering, energy systems, or a quantitative discipline.
  • Familiarity with power flow and contingency analysis fundamentals.
  • Programming ability in Python or an equivalent, applied to data work.
  • Clear technical writing in English.
  • Right to work in, or willingness to relocate to, the UAE with sponsorship.

Useful, not essential.

  • Exposure to a power-system analysis package such as PSS/E, PowerFactory, or PyPSA.
  • Interest in climate adaptation and its engineering consequences.
  • Arabic language capability.
