Manager, Program Strategy
— The work

What the role is responsible for.

  • Research and analyse programme opportunities, capability gaps, and delivery risk.
  • Build the evidence base for recommendations and be explicit about its limits.
  • Prepare written material for executive and consortium audiences.
  • Coordinate input from divisional technical leads and reconcile disagreements between them.
  • Maintain the programme portfolio record.
— Required

What we need you to bring.

  • Degree in engineering, science, economics, public policy, or a comparable analytical discipline.
  • Strong written reasoning and the discipline to separate finding from opinion.
  • Quantitative comfort with spreadsheets and structured analysis.
  • Ability to hold a confidence and understand why it matters.
  • Right to work in the United States.
— Preferred

Useful, not essential.

  • Prior exposure to public-sector procurement or consortium arrangements.
  • Technical background sufficient to follow an engineering argument.
  • A second language.

We read the preferred list as a description of a useful background, not a checklist. Candidates who meet the required list and none of the preferred are regularly hired.

— The team

Who you would be joining.

Program Strategy is a small group at the New York office working directly with divisional leadership and the contracting office.

— Conditions

What to know before you apply.

Associates rotate through two divisions during their first years. Rotations are paid and count toward progression.

All candidates undergo comprehensive vetting. Reasonable accommodation is available at any stage — say so in your first note and it will be arranged. We do not use unverified third-party recruiters, and we never ask a candidate for a fee.
