Lunar Surface Operations Planner

What the role is responsible for.

• Build and maintain the surface activity plan across autonomous transport, habitat support, and survey elements.
• Model power, thermal, and consumable margins for each planned sequence and defend the margins you set.
• Coordinate with consortium partners whose assets share the site.
• Run contingency planning for loss of an element, and keep those contingencies rehearsed rather than filed.
• Debrief every executed sequence and fold the result into the next plan.

What we need you to bring.

• Twelve or more years in mission planning, flight operations, or an equivalent operational planning discipline.
• Demonstrated ownership of an operational plan whose failure had real consequences.
• Fluency in resource-constrained scheduling and in the tooling that supports it.
• The judgement to distinguish a margin from a hope.
• Eligibility for sponsored TS vetting and space-access approval.

Useful, not essential.

• Prior surface or extravehicular operations planning experience.
• Familiarity with regolith environment effects on mechanisms and thermal systems.
• Experience operating alongside partner agencies under a shared plan.

We read the preferred list as a description of a useful background, not a checklist. Candidates who meet the required list and none of the preferred are regularly hired.

Who you would be joining.

Program 014 is a standing programme with its own planning cell, operations floor, and engineering support. It has been continuously active long enough that institutional memory is a real asset here.
