Biocontainment Facility Specialist

What the role is responsible for.

• Monitor and maintain containment engineering systems — airflow, pressure cascade, filtration, and effluent treatment.
• Perform and record routine verification, and escalate deviation without hesitation.
• Own and revise standard operating procedures for containment entry, exit, and decontamination.
• Support inspection and accreditation activity with complete records.
• Deliver containment induction training to incoming researchers.

What we need you to bring.

• Degree in a life science, biomedical engineering, or building services discipline, or equivalent facility experience.
• Understanding of containment principles and the engineering that delivers them.
• Meticulous record-keeping and comfort with formal procedure.
• Willingness to stop an operation and be right about it.
• Fitness for respiratory protection use and medical surveillance enrolment.

Useful, not essential.

• Prior BSL-2 or BSL-3 facility experience.
• Familiarity with building management systems and HVAC controls.
• Exposure to accreditation or regulatory inspection.

Who you would be joining.

The Singapore containment facility supports Biotechnology field programmes across APAC. The facility team is small and works closely with the research groups it serves.
